Abram W. Kaplan
Abram Kaplan is a farm and nature photographer from Granville, Ohio. In his artistic work, he seeks to tell the stories of farmers protecting their land, families struggling to keep farms out of foreclosure, and farmers just getting by. In addition to the hardships, he captures agrarian successes: small scale organic operations, Amish dairy farms, and farm-to-market arrangements that restore the vitality of agriculture as a central part of our culture. By noticing details and seeing patterns which otherwise pass unheeded before us, he seeks to capture our attention and renew our awareness of a livelihood few of us know but all of us rely on for our daily bread.
Over the past few years, Kaplan has exhibited his digital photography in a number of Midwest art fairs, including the Granville Art Affair, Cincinnati Summerfair, Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, and Olde Worthington Art Festival. His work has been highlighted in international juried exhibits and competitions in galleries, publications, and online shows and has been displayed in nearly 50 juried exhibitions, including galleries in fifteen states. Winner of the 2009 Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) photography contest, he served as a juror for the 2010 contest and now has a large-scale exhibition of his work at the ODA headquarters building in Reynoldsburg. He is currently building a series of sculptural photographic pieces for a traveling exhibition called “Shelf Life: Visual Immersion in the Food System,” which will travel to Ohio college art museums and galleries starting in Fall 2011. This exhibition includes movable floor tiles with embedded photographs of greenhouse crops, a sweeping panorama of Ohio farmland, and a 10' tall silo with nearly 200 unique photo-embossed steel, life-sized “shingles” that make up its exterior.
Kaplan says he "seeks to combine photography as a way of better seeing what is all around us with interactive art that strips away some of the fear we all carry with us when we engage with artistic work. To stand apart from art and not be allowed to touch it is simply a reinforcement of the separation we carry in so many parts of our lives."

Jessica Joy
According to artist Jessica Joy, "When it comes to beauty, quality is everything. Each handbag is created from the finest suede, brocade, faux fur, silk, vintage fabric, feather, fringe & beaded trim from around the world. Additionally, I design my own custom fabric which allows the creative process to be ever more unique. After design layout and patterns are drafted, pieces are hand cut, layered with interfacing for structure and then constructed with impeccable craftsmanship."
Handbags are an integral accessory for any occasion; they leave the door open for infinite texture and color combinations. In the newest collection, she introduces the ostrich feather wristlet handbag. This compact piece bursts with personality, combining modern flair with a celebration of vintage elegance, fantasy, and imagination.
Jessica has a knack for turning humble materials into ingenious expressions of edgy femininity. "Having come from a family of artists and craftsmen, I was intrigued by self expression at a very young age. My work encompasses the highest standard of quality combined with true inspiration. I pursue the technique of handbag design and I am constantly learning the art of wearable fiber."

Cathy Tietz Boring
Having studied at BGSU and OSU, Cathy has been blowing glass and throwing pottery for over 20 years. By laying colors and space in the clear base, her process involves glass, clay, and metals blended together to create unique floral vessels, paperweights, ornaments, and sculptures. Her bright, colorful, molten art glass contains gold, silver, and copper and are often combined with clay vessels to create her beautiful "glass-handled pottery." She also enjoys teaching painting and pottery to all ages. Cathy is associated with Glass Axis in Columbus, and her pieces are shown in art shows, galleries, and by appointment. This is Cathy's third year at Granville Art Affair.

Greg Henwood
A lifelong resident of Lancaster, Ohio, Greg relatively new to exhibiting his artwork. Self-taught, he started painting in the winter of 1993. He only painted occasionally for the next 12 years as a winter hobby, golf being his summer time passion.
In May of 2005, Greg suffered a stroke, losing much of his voice and about 95% use of his right arm and hand. He thought his painting days were over, but decided to try painting left- handed. After much frustration and many bad paintings, he started to improve. He created about 15 paintings between 1993 and May 2005 and has added over 90 more since suffering from the stroke. He paints exclusively landscapes in oils, venturing into plain air when he can.
"I want the person viewing my paintings to imagine themselves in that world, if only for a moment.” All the paintings since September 2005 have been created with the left hand. Many of the originals and prints both open and S/N Limited Edition are available.

Cindy R. Sams
Cindy's work has grown from the use of acrylics, both on their own and with glazes. The use of the metallic paints combined with the aging agents delivers new results that add depth and a bit of visual texture. The amount of product changes the outcome with every piece, and her favorites have been the ones in which she utilizes this technique.
Having studied Art and Textiles at The Ohio State University, Cindy took the organic and natural idea further in 2010, using these same techniques in paintings of various leaves and barks. In early 2011, she was asked to participate in the “Taking the Arts Festival Indoors” exhibit stemming from the Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival. Following an exhibition about floor coverings, “Completely Floored,” at the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio in Lancaster, the Cincinnati Enquirer wrote "The exhibit includes everything from 19th century rugs from Turkey, Iran and Russia to contemporary floor cloth designs by Columbus Artist Cindy Sams..." (January 5, 2006).
CANVASED FLOORS officially began in February 2002 when Cindy had the opportunity to delve into the business full time and promote her works. She has been in various exhibits and juried arts festivals in and around Ohio.
